French design Girl’s room
The most girls love pink and purple, butterflies and sweetness. If the girl is too young to be asked, chose a soft princess or castle theme; very popular are the beach themes. They add space and some time ago I did such a theme for a girl’s room, all around the walls plus the ceiling. But now let’s look at a lovely French type design which many girls will like. You can try to paint the different subjects on the wall or if you like, hire a professional muralist.
What you need:
• a theme
• mural painter
• wall paper
• some artistic talent
The dominating color of such a room is a subtle pink which can be combined with different shades of pink and black or dark-grey. A typical decorative subject is a Pink poodle.
On the wall I painted a bag with he famous o-la-la poodle theme. The background: Around the bag add light colored whimsical roses and whirls in charcoal black.
Over the wardrobe some typical French phrases such as “Bonjour mon ami” which means “Hi, my friend”, are very cute; chose a whimsical font for them and paint them in dark charcoal (Paynes grey)
Of course the Eiffel tower should not be missing! We placed it next to the bed. Over the bed there is the French Set: facial powder with a brush, nail varnish and a lipstick, surrounded by whimsical roses and whirls.
Maybe you are talented and can hand paint the French themed objects; if not hire a mural artist.
There are also stencils to use as an alternative to hand painted objects. Stencils are easier to apply.
